This dictionary is a joint project between the Estonian Public Service Academy and the Latvian Police Academy. The project originated in the British Council's Peacekeeping English Project which ended in March 2006. International Language Services of Tallinn and Riga was a project partner in the early stages of the project from January to November 2006.
The project is being managed by Robert Buckmaster, Chief Lexicographer.
The project will take two years to complete – from January 2006 to December 2007 – and the dictionary will be freely available until December 2007. We welcome feedback on the dictionary – please contact us.
