Definitions  
Def: 1.use something in a bad, dishonest or harmful way
Example: Workers who abuse alcohol and drugs are far less productive, miss more work days, are more likely to injure themselves or someone else, and file more worker's compensation claims.
Def: 2.treat someone in a cruel and violent way (usually sexually)
Example: People who sexually abuse suffer from emotional immaturity, low self-esteem, an inability to see harm in their actions and lack the knowledge to control their impulses.
Def: 3.speak to somebody in an angry, offensive way
Example: If you've been verbally abused, you're likely to abuse others.
