Def: 1.the use of force to protect yourself against someone who is attacking you
Example: The man accused of the murder says he acted in self-defence.
Def: 2.using reasonable force against an unjust threat to protect one's person or property
Example: A person claiming self-defense must prove at trial that the self-defense was justified. A person using force in self-defense should use only so much force as is required to repel the attack.
